Let's Share Christmas Appeal

Our 'Let's Share Christmas' appeal has been a tremendous success this year, with over 290 students and their families having contributed presents for people in our local community. This included presents for our elderly neighbours and adopted grandparents, gifts for children, chocolate oranges for NHS staff and food and toiletries for the homeless, struggling families and vulnerable.

Having seen our appeal on social media, the Daisy Hill Brownies and Guides groups donated 5 fabulous hampers to our collection. The hampers went to Urban Outreach Bolton, who provide emergency food parcels to individuals and families who find themselves in need of help due to illness, debts, benefit delays, homelessness, domestic abuse, redundancy or family breakdown.

Over 80 students went out in the community delivering our donated Christmas presents to OAPs and Chocolate Oranges to NHS staff. Over 300 presents and 325 Chocolate Oranges were donated. The first set of Christmas presents was delivered to the Senior Solutions Christmas party at Brookfield Hall, and Chocolate Oranges given out on the wards at Bolton Hospital and to the Ambulance service.

Thank you, once again, to our pupils, families, staff and local community who donated so generously to make this possible.

Merry Christmas!
