Grasmere Fieldwork
02/10/2017

On Friday the 22nd of September 72 year 11 students undertook the second component of their fieldwork element. The purpose of this fieldwork was to investigate the impacts of tourism in a glaciated upland area. This involved looking at human and physical impacts as well as environmental.

The group got stuck into their work and despite some inclement weather from lunchtime onwards completed their work and are now in the process of preparing for the exam component through detailed presentation, interpretation and analysis.

In the first photograph there is evidence of the environmental damage caused by the flooding in 2015 with a farm gate lay where it was deposited and the in the lower photograph students completing questionnaires on Easedale Rd.
