The school was visited by a team of Ofsted Inspectors on October 20-21st 2015. The team of inspectors looked at all areas of school life and awarded an overall Ofsted grading of ‘Good.’ This was particularly pleasing as it was achieved under a new set of guidelines, the ‘Common Inspection Framework’ which was only launched in September.

The four specific areas Ofsted inspect and grade are: the effectiveness of leadership and management; the quality of teaching, learning and assessment; personal development, behaviour and welfare; outcomes for pupils. Each area was individually graded ‘Good’ but we are very proud that personal development, behaviour and welfare has been graded as ‘Outstanding.’

A high number of parents responded to the Ofsted questionnaire, demonstrating their support for the school; 91% of parents would recommend the school to another parent. It is also really pleasing to report that that the Inspectors took away with them a very positive view of our students, whether in class, in form, on interview panels or just around the site at break and lunch time.

You can download the full Ofsted report (PDF) or view on the Ofsted website – but the quotations below will give you the flavour of a very positive Ofsted report that accurately reflects our school.
