WHS make the Go4Set Final!

On Tuesday 10th July, a group of our talented Design and Technology Year 8 students took part in the competition final and awards ceremony for ‘Go4Set’.

This is a national STEM competition linked to the Industrial Cadets, which enables students taking part to work with local businesses to develop their design and thinking skills to solve real world problems.

Our chosen theme was ‘Sport’, with the year 8 students researching and designing sports facilities that would be beneficial to the Westhoughton community. For our efforts, each student was awarded their Bronze Industrial Cadets certificate and some fantastic feedback was given from the judges on how professional they thought the projects and scaled models were.

Well done to Ryan Blakestone, Thomas Hallam, Joe Curme, Lillie Glenister, Amy Powley, Joshua Jones, Antoni Borzymowski, Hayden Skeldon, Leah Senior and Jake Thomas.
