Languages Week and MacMillan Coffee Morning

This year to celebrate Languages Week the MFL team joined forces with Science to support the MacMillan Coffee Morning.

Students were asked to donate cakes to the sale or make a cake with a European theme. Homemade cakes were entered into a competition. We had some excellent entries which represented countries and Europe and we also had entries that were traditional cakes from around Europe.

We were amazed by the talents of the students who took part. We had two winning entries; Joshua Whittle in Year 7 made a traditional Italian cake with ricotta and dark chocolate and Halima (Year 8) and Amina (Year 9) Nawaz made an amazing cake with a European theme. The cakes were sold at Open Evening and to our own students on Friday 28th September.

Merci and gracias to everyone who supported the event. We had lots of fun and raised over £350 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
