Extra Curricular
At Westhoughton High School, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. That’s why we place great importance on offering a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and enrichment opportunities designed to develop our learners’ LEARN values and enhance their cultural capital. Each club has been carefully aligned with the LEARN values, and students receive additional merits in recognition of their participation. Every student has a Learner Portfolio, where they can record and showcase their achievements throughout their time at school. This allows us to celebrate not only their academic progress but also the development of their character and wider skills.

The Library is open every day from 8am until 8.30am before school and at break and lunch. It is open after school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 3.15pm until 4pm. This is for homework and quiet study.
