Pupil Premium & Funding
Pupil Premium
At Westhoughton High School, we work together as a community to ensure that no one is left behind.

We support and care for one another so that every student feels safe, valued, and included. Our school is a place where everyone can thrive. We set high expectations for all, remove barriers to learning, and make sure that no child is held back by a disadvantage. Through excellent teaching and strong partnerships with families and the wider community, we promote respect, encourage achievement, and support regular attendance.
Together, we build a positive culture where every student can say, “I can succeed” and “I belong here.”

Yes. Your child/children will be able to access other support across the curriculum.
My Child/Children do not meet the criteria for Pupil Premium; will we still be able to access support?

Below is a list of school resources that you may wish to purchase from the £100 budget:
- Uniform & PE kit
- Stationery pack (basic school equipment)
- Maths set / Scientific calculator
- Revision guides (Years 10 & 11)
- Help towards the cost of school trips (you may use the allowance to help towards the balance of trips, but not the initial deposit in the case of overseas/residential trips)
